Hello everyone! This week was a wonderful week! As you know, we had Easter! It was wonderful. We got to spend a little time with some local members who painted eggs with us and took us on a little hike! I had a blast! With that I also learned something really neat.To start it off, I’d like to share a scripture passage. In Matthew chapter 14, verses 17 to 21 it reads:
17 And they say unto him, We have here but five loaves, and two fishes.
18 He said, Bring them hither to me.
19 And he commanded the multitude to sit down on the grass, and took the five loaves, and the two fishes, and looking up to heaven, he blessed, and brake, and gave the loaves to his disciples, and the disciples to the multitude.
20 And they did all eat, and were filled: and they took up of the fragments that remained twelve baskets full.
21 And they that had eaten were about five thousand men, beside women and children.
I thought it was really neat how Christ performed an amazing miracle. Yet, he asked His disciples to share it with the multitude. When I realized this I thought it was really interesting. Christ didn’t care if He gained any recognition, or status, instead He allowed His disciples to be the ones to give the gift. I think that principle is still very commonly found today.
I believe that often times in life, God asks us to be His hands. He asks us to serve one another, to be or bring His blessings into the lives of those around us. And He does this, so that we too can be blessed while in His service. Just think of the loving relationships between family and friends that come when we serve!
When I realized this, it made me so so excited for ministering! I know that as we minister to those around us, our brothers and sisters, our lives will be unbelievably blessed. I know Christ lives and walks with us. I’ve really seen that out here on the mission. I love you all! See you next week!
